I don't really drink soda often, but this deal was so hot I couldn't resist picking some up. Right now at Publix, they have Pepsi products on sale buy 2 get 2 free, and in the yellow advantage flyer, there is a coupon for buy 2 get 1 free on Dr. Pepper and Mountain Dew products. That alone makes a great deal, but there was also a manufacturer coupon for $2/4 cases of Pepsi Products coupon in the Sedanos ad! Here's the deal that I was able to come up with:
Buy 12 cases of Soda (On sale B2G2 for $10.98) = $ 32.94 - $5/30 Winn Dixie Competitor coupon (- $5) - 4 Publix B2G1 Flyer Coupons (- $0) - 3 $2/4 Manufacturer coupons (- $6) = $-0.02! After tax, it cost $0.93 for 12 cases! I asked at the customer service desk if I would be allowed to do this deal again, and they said that I could, there were no limits, so I picked up another 12 cases. In total, I spent $1.86 for 24 cases, which works out to be about $0.08 per case! Wow! Personally, I'm not a Mountain Dew fan, but a few of my coworkers said they would be willing to take some of this off my hands :) Target has a great deal on hair care products this week. When you purchase four Unilever products, you'll get a free $5 Target gift card. I did the following deal:
Buy 4 Dove Conditioner @ $2.99 = $11.96 - 2 $3/2 Dove Coupons (RP 07/29/12) = $6 Pay $5.96 Get $5 Gift card back = $0.96 or $0.24 each after coupons and gift card. I recently discovered how delicious almonds are, I know, I'm a bit late on that one. There are so many flavors I can never have too many bags in the cupboard. Walmart sells them for $6.58 for a 1 pound bag, but Walgreens had them on sale this week for $4.99! I picked up 2 bags, and use 2 $0.75/1 coupons from the paper to score them for $4.25 each. And if you look closely at the bag on the right, it says 20% more for the price, can't beat that!
I stopped by Publix on the way home today to pick up some of the sale items from this weeks ad. Here's what I picked up:
8 Gogurt B1G1 $2.89 - 4 $0.75/2 Manufacturer coupons 2 Kellogg's Raisin Bran $1.99 each - 2 $0.70/1 Manufacturer coupons 2 Cheerios $1.99 each - 2 $0.50/1 Manufacturer coupons 2 Kellogg's Crunchy Nut $1.99 - 2 $0.70/1 Manufacturer coupons 2 Schick razbors 4 pack B1G1 $6.99 - 1 $3/2 Manufacturer coupon - $5/30 Winn-Dixie competitor coupon = $16.15 after taxes, about $1 per item. Store Coupons: $5 Vendor Coupons: $9.80 Special Price Savings: $26.87 Your savings at Publix: $41.67 I stopped by Target to have a look around the summer clearance section to see how much was left, and there were a couple shelves for 70%, including patio furniture, umbrellas, gardening decorations and boots, and some other trinkets. Here's what I picked up:
Heinz Vinegar $1.00 - $1/1 Manufacturer Coupon = Free 2 Nice N Easy Hair Color $5.89 each - $3/2 Target Coupon - 2 $1/1 Manufacturer Coupons = Paid $4.78, received $5 GC for buying 2. Money maker of $0.22. Paprika clearance from $1.29 to $1.08 Oregano clearance from $1.29 to $1.08 Garlic Powder clearance from $4.19 to $2.08. After coupons and gift cards received, I paid $4.02, pretty much just the price of the spices. I've been looking for a deal on a new pair of running shoes, and the stars finally aligned. I had a coupon for Kohls for $10 off a $30 purchase that was in the newspaper a couple weeks ago, and also received a 30% off coupon in the mail. I double checked when I went to the store, and sure enough, I was able to combine the coupons!
Original Price of Shoes: $58.00 Sale Price: $44.99 -$10/30 = $34.99 -%30 off ($10.50) =$24.49 After Taxes: $26.08! A great price for Nikes! When you coupon, it becomes a way of life. I've gotten so used to shopping the sales, and eating the vegetables and meats that are on sale, I've forgotten what it feels like to pay full price. I got a little taste of that today, and it's not something that I would like to try again if I can help it!
I purchased this nifty gadget a couple of months ago to make zucchini noodles, and I really was craving that for dinner with some meatballs. Well, I didn't have any in the refrigerator so I decided to pick up a couple while I was at Target. I'm used to paying anywhere from $0.59 to $0.79 a pound for zucchini squash, so when one single zucchini was priced at $2.99, I was shocked! After wandering around the produce section a little more, I realized how much everything costs! Don't get me wrong, I love Target, and everything is definitely fresh, but I will not be doing my regular grocery shopping there! Now, where are those sale ads for this week. I was pretty happy to see that Morning Star entrees were buy one get one this week at Publix, as I eat these regularly. No, I'm not a vegetarian, but they are delicious, and not having to pay $4.39 for a single box is always a good thing!

I will be making a watermelon and blueberry fruit dish, and cucumbers and tomato salad. Funny thing is though, Walmart didn't have any tomato's! Not a single one anywhere, and I even asked and they said they didn't have any right now. It's kind of a weird thing to run out of!
