There is a hot coupon that you could print from Staples' ad online this week for $3 off any purchase. The coupon runs from June 7th - June 11, and states limit 1 per customer per day. You can best be sure that I will be using this coupon once per day! Here's what I've been able to get so far: 24 pk Zephyrhills Water = $3.99, paid $0.99 Bottled water is good to have around, especially with hurricane season. The price works out to about $0.04 per bottle. 8 count Staples paper towels = $4.99, paid $1.99 Paper towels are sometimes hard to get a good deal on, and in this case, it ends up being $0.25 per roll! (Bounty 6 packs were on sale for $4.99 also, making them $0.33 per roll.) Crayola 10 count markers = $3.19, paid $0.19 The markers were more of something that I need to replace, as most of my art supplies were destroyed from the incident. I always make homemade birthday cards for my family and sisters, so I am trying to rebuild my drawer. There are two more days to use this, who knows else what I'll be able to find! I was excited to see that pierogies were on sale B1G1, and I might even go back and pick a couple more boxes up after I see how much space I can make in the freezer. The combat ant traps were a small of a money maker, as were the garden delight pasta. I did make a little mistake, and my total should have been a couple dollars less, as I picked up the sugar free devils food cake mix, which was $2.69 instead of the sale box which was $0.99, so I'll have to return that next time. Not one of my best shopping trips, but I did get a bunch of things that I want and crave and stayed within my weekly budget.
I showed up later in the evening this weekend in order to see the Star Wars end of the day show. Although I didn't take video of it, I found one on youtube (Thanks InsideTheMagic) that is from a previous week, but is basically what I saw. One of my favorite characters, Chewbacca, during his dancing. Next weekend is the last one, so I better get my fill of Star Wars in, because it will have to hold me over until next year!
Sometimes it pays to be patient when it comes to sales. I have been keeping an eye on the clothing clearance at Target, watching things go from 30% off, down to 50%, and finally down to 75% off. I found 2 Mossimo long sleeve shirts (great for layering) on clearance for $3.24. There was a $3/1 Mossimo clothing printable coupon previously available on Target site, making each of these shirts just $0.24 each. The 3-pack's of Ivory soap were on price cut for $0.95, and after using the $1 coupon from the PG 5-1 were free, with an overage of $0.20. The lean pockets were $2.04 each, but I had printed 2 coupons for B1G1 that were available last week, making them a great price. I ended up spending $4.64 after taxes.
