There is a new coupon on Target's site for $2/20 4X6 prints with an expiration date of 6-18. These prints are on sale this week for $0.10 each, making them free after the coupon. I have some pictures from Star Wars Weekends that I needed to print, so I picked up mine today.

It was perfect weather for being outside all day, not as hot as it's been the past week, and there were plenty of clouds in the sky. I was able to meet a few characters and guest celebrities as well as find a great spot to view the parade. Two weekends down, two more to go!
I had a chance to pick up some of this weeks BOGO deals at Publix. It's pretty late, so I'm not going to go over the math. I had 7 B2G1 coupons left from the crystal light deal a couple weeks ago, and the Target coupons expire today, hence the late night trip. Now for a couple hours of sleep before I head out to Week 2 of Star Wars Weekends at Disney.
When you think of couponing and sales, most people tend to think about grocery shopping, but there are so many other ways to save! Ace Hardware has a several rebates running right now through memorial weekend, making many items free after rebate!
Womens gloves $2.99, with a $2.99 rebate. Cutter Bug Aerosol $4.99, with a $4.00 rebate. (Use $1.50/1 RP 5-22 or printable coupon) Ortho Home Defense Max $6.94 (price varies by store), with a $5.99 rebate. Total Cost for products above: $49.90 Submit for rebates and receive: $45.94 Total Cost (with taxes) after rebates: $3.96 Considering that a single can of bug repellant costs $4.99, I would say that paying less than that for everything is a great deal! There are two different rebates, one page for May, and another for Memorial Day. Just remember that you only have It wasn't just bills in the mailbox today, I got some of the freebies I've been waiting for. There was a coinstar change bag, my free business card holder, and a coupon for a free tub of Cottonelle wipes. I also received a Petco 10% off coupon, which helps offset the cost of dog food.
I haven't done much shopping this weekend or this week. There are a few good sales and deals, but I do not need what they are offering.
Sometimes, there are sales on things that you use but may be stocked up on already. As couponers, we have to decided whether or not to pucrhase something and be careful not to fall into the hoarding category. It's a fine line between stockpiling and hoarding, but as long as you use what you have, or donate it before it expires, there is nothing wrong with getting something at the lowerst price. So, I am sitting out on many of the drugstore deals this week, but I may make a trip to Target in the next couple of days. I hear rumors that there are clearance deals on frozen foods. Being a Florida resident has it's perks, one of the best being that I can go to Disney World whenever I get the urge. Starting this weekend, it is Star Wars Weekends, and Hollywood Studios gets taken over by characters from Star Wars. Even Mickey and Minnie are in costumes. It runs Friday, Saturday, and Sunday May 20th through June 12th. Friday was the grand re-opening of the new 3D Star Tours ride, so as expected, the crowds are outrageous, a little bit more than normal for this time of year. As soon as people were allowed in the park, I booked it to the back to ride Star Tours, and with the 5 minute line times, I was able to ride it 4 times. And every time there were different characters and places and scenes. The new ride is awesome, and there are over 50 different versions of the story, so you will experience something different each time you ride. I've got about 40-something more to go! I was also able to get my picture with a few characters, including Dath Vader, and meet celebrity guest Daniel Logan. I'm going to try and see the Star Wars Parade next weekend.
Old Navy has it's anual $1 flip flop promotion today. The stores opened at 7:00 am, but I was not going to wake up that early, even if it is right down the street. I was able to grab 5 pairs, but the colors were slip picking so I plan to save them and exchange them next week for different colors. These aren't the kind of flip flops you want to wear walking around all day, but they are great to wear to the pool or around the yard, or a quick trip to the store. It doesn't hurt to have a couple pairs on hand for the summer, and for $1 each, you can't beat it.
After gathering 6 days worth of coupons from the red coupon machine at CVS, I was able to do the chocolate deal a total of three times. Did I mention how yummy these candies are?
I've said before that I do not subscribe to a Sunday newspaper, that I prefer to purchase them at CVS or Walgreens using my extra bucks and register rewards. But right now there is a fantastic deal out that made me change my ways.
A $15 Groupon for a weekend subscription (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) to the Orlando Sentinal for a whole year is a great price! (It says a value of $73.84). This works out to about $0.29 a week! I actually purchased 2 subscriptions, because we all know, for the BOGO sales, its best to have two sets of coupons. |
